TERRIBLE. Never choose to use these guys- nothing will get done for months and MONTHS. You are never able to get in touch with them or made a priority. If you have to use them (which I had no choice as it was the housing associations solicitor) then best of luck! I recommend hounding them over 30 times a day if you want to get anything done.

This has to be the most unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune to come across We are currently in a dispute with one of their clients and my solicitor constantly sends emails and calls Devonshires and gets no response Due to this our company could have to go into liquidation Unfortunately there is no official body that you can complain too

I have had the pleasure of dealing with 'Elle Wooding', she really is a breath of fresh air when its comes to communication and conveyancing. Elle has kept us updated throughout our mutual transaction not only by e-mail but by phone too ensuring that there was no breakdown of communication at any point. I would highly recommend when it comes to conveyancing to ask for her personally! 100 recommended!

Poor experience, rude people to deal with when it comes to business and also a horrible culture for staff. I know 2 former colleagues- solicitors who left when they quickly realised the ethics.

I am not surprised that Devonshire Solicitora are struggling to get results. I had the horrible experience of being interviewed for the porisition of credit controller. The person who interviewed was a lady called Tara, the so-called operations manager. Apparently she runs the AR & billing function & the credit control. AR & billing are easy enough to run - all you do is follow the instructions! But credit control is another thing. If you have the team it should be lead by somewhere with a track record of cash collection & someone who can encourage the team to achieve the targets. The lady named Tara has obviously no experience of cash collection & as such fails to inspire the team, which seems to reflect in a lot of the bad reviews left herre. At the interview it was obvious to me that she knew nothing of credit control,. It was like being interviewed by the village idiot. This woman has been handed the job of interviewing, but despite interviewing several good candidates, she apparently has not appointed anyone. This pathetic person then gives feedback to the agency who put them forward. Her feedback is poor & pathetic. Mostly its all nonsense. Come on Devonshires, credit controllers do need to be inspired & their manager should at least be knowledgeable about the function. They need to be in touch with people, able to speak with people. I am REALLY NOT SURPRISED that ypu firm is having severe problems collecting cash, and the bad reviews prove that the performance of your so-called operations manager is not very good & does not make the function work. The cause pf the problem is the person. You need to do something about Tara, not allow her to interview good people & then allow rubbish their prefessionalism & careers. Not does your cashflow show that her performance is poor, I doubt if you appoint another 2 credit controllers, the situation will not change with her sitting there. Tara is really looking after own postion as Operations Manager rather than looking for someone who could take responsibility & improve the cash flow situation. Believe me, she is very pleased at the title of Operations Manager, whether this pride is well placed is for you to check her performance with her being allowed to block the appointment of an excellent and proactive credit controller. Try it, separate the credit control function & your cashflow should improve almost immediately.

I used Devonshires on a no win no fee basis. Unfortunately, it soon became apparent that they did not appear to be progressing my claim effectively or providing me with information and I seemed to be doing more work on the claim than they were. I was forced to make a formal complaint to the firm, but this was not (and has never been) adequately answered or addressed, their fees and costs appear to be grossly disproportionate to the really low settlement I was offered and told to accept. I have made repeated request for a full breakdown but I have not received a reply. I am completely dissatisfied with the firm’s handling of my case.
