Most appalling service EVER! One lady I spoke to seemed ever so lovely and helpful and the other lady who came questioning me about the tiles I was picking seemed to be so rude, frustrated and annoyed for some odd reason. Did not make any sense to me as to why one worker said I was able to take some samples bearing in mind I even asked to pay for them. She literally made me feel little asking me where I was from. Some people are SOOOO miserable for no reason. If you work in customer service act like it.

Superb Service! Was looked after by Amy Glanville who was knowledgeable in the marble products we required. Went as far as sourcing them from their HQ in USA to help meet our deadlines. Great communication throughout, look forward to repeat business.

I chose some tiles from this company's Clerkenwell studio believing that the location and stylish showroom were an indication of quality products and decent customer service. I was wrong on both counts. I was initially told that whilst most of the tiles were made in-house, 'some' were bought in: I was told the tiles I was interested in were manufactured in Italy. Having chosen the tiles my building contractor went into the showroom a few days later to buy them. He was told they were not held onsite and that they had to be ordered from Devon. It was agreed that the delivery would not be made until it could all be delivered in one batch (standard practice in the building trade to ensure that there are no variations between tiles, just as you might do when buying paint). Delivery was signed for by a different builder who was unaware of the discussions held previously and it transpired that only part of the order had been delivered. It turned out that the missing tiles could not be delivered for another 2-months, as they had to be shipped from overseas. Had we been told this I would have chosen different tiles at the very outset, probably from a different company. As if not bad enough (the delay derailed the building project), most of the 'Italian' tiles were in fact made in China and were warped! Labelled 'Cappuccino' (can you believe it?!) on the cartons with a small Italian flag, they also had MADE IN CHINA stamped across them. After the builder had no success with phone calls to the tile company, I called the studio to enquire where the missing tiles were, why they were not all delivered together and why a large proportion of those delivered were made in China and were flawed. I was asked to send an email explaining the problem, with photos - I did so. No response. In fact I didn't receive a single reply to any of my emails or calls. The issue was only acknowledged after I ran out of patience and walked into the showroom myself. The company's sales machinery then kicked in and they refused to replace the faulty merchandise because it had already been laid, even though I offered to have them removed and at that stage there were still tiles to lay. They simply weren't interested in inspecting the tiles on-site even though it's just 20 minutes from their studio (if they had responded to any of the attempts to contact them, the tiles wouldn't have been laid). Of course, the sales assistant who had told me the tiles were Italian (bear in mind that a few of them were Italian (and were perfect) and the others were trying very hard to appear to be Italian) had 'left the company'. The company had the cheek to offer to 'expedite' the delivery of the tiles they had failed to deliver at a substantial additional charge to me! The fact is that they sold me dodgy tiles and have refused all along toexplain why they sell second rate goods under false pretenses. Very poor quality product and appalling (non-existent) customer service. Most companies would not refuse to tell you where their products are made - I was told it was 'not company policy' to say where tiles are from (when I asked if the back order would come from Italy or China), presumably because they may deliver faulty goods 2-months after they were paid for. When the missing tiles did turn up my builders were of course long gone - for 2-months now I have been living with a patch in my terrace floor. The nonsense they write on their website about customer service really sticks in my throat given my experience - the service was only good to the point when they took payment. UPDATE: eventually I have been contacted by a senor member of their ales team, who has gone a very long way to resolving the issue, promising a full refund and offering a choice of additional (beautiful) mosaic tiles for my bathroom. I can't thank Kevin enough for dealing with the issue as best he could.

We build very high quality swimming pools and have used Design Works for a while now, they have great customer service, the reps visits often and the sales team understand everything we require. I would recommend anyone using these guys for tiles, adhesives and grouts from all good suppliers.

I work with Design Works Tiles through my Company Clay Interiors. The service is efficient, professional, friendly and nothing is to much trouble. I usually deal with the lovely Robb who has had samples to my clients within 48 hours of every request which reflects positively on my Company too and as a consequence I have secured many orders. The brochures, folders and samples provided has given me the tools to approach many builders, architects and designers and with the support of the team at Designs Works Tiles my new Company is growing successfully!!

It's not often I feel inclined to write a testimonial for a supplier, but after over 15 years using Design Works products and never having the need to complain I felt it only fair to write something about their attributes. Bearing in mind, as we are a small luxury swimming pool construction company with the need to only use absolute quality products on our projects, we have used Design Works products ever since becoming aware of the company, basically the points that has kept us with them is the quality of the product they sell & service, plus the knowledge of the people that we deal within the company, sure - some of the people that we originally dealt with are no longer there, that's normal , but there is stability and always a personal contact with real people who give much more than a basic service. You can always buy cheaper and goodness knows we get enough approaches, but we regularly compare prices and Design Works always compare well. You get what you pay for. The level of after sales support offered by any supplier is paramount and we have found Design Works technical support team to as the best we have ever dealt with - there has never been anything that they haven't resolved immediately and their staff are quick to respond, knowledgeable and professional.
