Des is an awesome guitar teacher, he has helped me out of a guitar playing rut I have been stuck in for some time. He is knowledgeable and explains things (guitar theory) in a way which 100+ books and YouTube videos has failed to do for me up until now, unlocking music theory ideas I have never previously been able to grasp. I’ve been taking lessons with Des for a while now and the thing that impresses me even after all this time is that I come away inspired every week without fail. I was a little concerned when lockdown came in and we couldn’t do face to face lessons that we would lose some momentum but it has not been the case in the slightest, if anything, doing the lessons over Skype has been easier and enabled me to focus better.

Can't compliment Des enough!! His patience and ability to teach someone with no previous experience, and fingers which do not bend as much as they used to in younger years, speaks volumes for the man!! I'm never going to be another Eric Clapton, but, I can now play recognisable riffs. No hesitation in recommending Des to anyone who wants to begin learning whatever their age!!

I was fortunate enough to have lessons with Des. From the off Des made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He gave me the opportunity to pick and choose what would benefit me the most, in regards to getting the best out of the guitar. The one aspect I always struggled with, was the theory of guitar. Des broke it down into manageable chunks that I could grasp and get my head round. I now understand that the theory is just as much, if not more important than just learning to play the guitar. I would highly recommend Des for lessons, from the absolute beginner or for the most experienced of guitarist. The knowledge and depth that Des has for the guitar holds know no bounds.
