I just found out this ride cost £13,000,000 in 2016! That is a complete joke! This ride is horrendous. Just terrible. Cringe worthy. If You gave me £13m to design a ride... I mean really! I promise could make something far superior! It would move on rails as well

Just a wildly unpleasant experience. I went in blind but assumed I was in for a unique dark ride based upon the name and the fact that we had to schedule a time to enter. Despite scheduling a time, we had to wait almost half an hour due to "capacity issues." Upon entering, we're given a short presentation and some interaction with a crew member, which there's a fair bit of and that part is the only okay part, but it's weaker than crew interactions I've had in other parks. The rest, and majority of the attraction, is a VR experience that feels like it was made in 2014. It feels unfinished, poorly acted, and poorly made, especially for the budget I later learned this attraction had. It was also extremely loud with no volume options. The VR headsets could not be adjusted well and the crew were very insitent on us getting on our headsets quickly, so I had to hold mine up and try to adjust it so it'd fit properly while the VR experience was playing. My entire group agreed it was a massive waste of time. If you want something horror-themed, The Walking Dead and SAW rides are far better.

I'm not sure why people are giving the ride bad reviews. I think that the ride was really fun! It could have been scarier but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. It's very creative and the actors were great. I recommend. 👍

Absolutely shocking ride - I agree with others that this this is possibly the worst theme park ride I've ever been on. From start to finish a horrible experience. Not thrilling or scary in the slightest in fact it's laughable! The VR is awful but so is the whole set up and story. Come on Thorpe Park - you can't make paying customers wait over an hour for this! Don't waste your time. Rest of Thorpe Park is excellent 👌

Decent enough attraction with some clever effects. Worthwhile giving it a go off you have plenty of time at the park.

Such a fun ride. Couldn't repeat it too regularly but great fun. Was a shame to see so many of the VR headsets not working or faulty now as it spoils the experience.

I left a review of 4 stars 3 years ago, unfortunately this ride is now awful. They somehow ruined literally every aspect of the ride. The headsets were broken (I tried 4 different ones). They removed a major point of the experience towards the middle and replaced it with a cheesy actor. And the end is also now replaced with an actor rather than what it used to be. Even the gift ship doesn't sell ghost train merchandise anymore, including the ghost train itself and you find more SAW and SWARM merchandise. Don't waste your time until its revamped.

This is complete rubbish. My friend recommended this to us and was baffled when we told her what occurred. All that happened was Derren gives you a prologue and you get on the train with outdated VR. They get you off the train and face the wall and then tell you to get back on (what the hell was that about???). Then you get off the train and that's the end. Thanks for shafting us Thorpe Park .
