    Issues experienced and handled badly Myself and my partner checked in on Good Friday. We stayed for one night and opted out of breakfast. The receptionist escorted us to the Goodwood Room, which was simply stunning and huge! It had bespoke furniture which worked beautifully with the nautical décor. Sadly, the stay was only let down by the loud pipes which seemed to be related to the hot water being used by the surrounding rooms. The banging sound began intermittently at 6pm (we left the room at 7pm-12pm) and woke me at 6 am through to 7.30am. Upon check-out I did raise the issue with the young lady receptionist who took a note of this. I sent 7 email chase ups querying the outcome of my compliant and provided video evidence proving the issues I had experienced only to be told nearly a month after my stay the following: "Good Morning and many apologies for such delay, your emails has been found in the spam! I am very sorry you had to endure the noise, please accept our apologies for that. I have checked your reservation and can see that you have booked this room under already heavily discounted rate so would not be able to offer any compensation, however I will be more than happy to raise a discount on your next stay with us? I trust this will be good news and kind regards". Firstly, it is worth noting I received responses from the lady in question prior to the above email so the suggestion it was in the spam folder is a little hard to believe. Secondly, I paid £135.00 for a single nights stay without breakfast so to be told this was acceptable to pay for a night of interrupted sleep really let down my overall experience. The way in which my complaint was handled was really appalling, I had to continuously chase for responses, sent 3 videos detailing the noise and reported the issue upon checkout. In all honesty, based on the price and the interrupted nights sleep, unfortunately I wouldn't return to the room unless this issue has been resolved which is such a shame as the room features and shared spaces were beautiful. Noteworthy details: Complaints aren't handled well. Previous reviews on the hotel also support this issue

    Lovely hotel and the staff were great. Only complaint would be the walls are thin, so i could hear the couple next door talking until 1am. Then the room above put the radio on at 630am. Quite noisy when people are returning to the hotel when you're on the ground floor. Very clean hotel and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and you ordered any hot food. Fast service with plenty of choice. Walkability: About 15 minutes from town centre

    Having visited the Derby Manor frequently over the last 3 years, unfortunately we shall not be returning due to the cleanliness of the room. Upon arrival the carpet hadn't been hoovered as well as the bathroom floor which contained excess hair. Dust and cobwebs were evident throughout the entire room along with the rain shower head being completely inoperative, resulting in water spraying over the top of the shower screen and saturating the surrounding floor. With regards to the shower head this was reported but with a response of "We're Already Aware Of This" then why hasn't this been rectified and notified to future guests staying. Derby Manor Mgmnt, its unfortunate that this review has been written. A little attention to detail would of made a world of difference, and we for sure would of returned back to the Derby Manor that was a Luxury Boutique Guest House.

    Amazing stay at derby manor for partners birthday, we were upgraded to the gold cup honeymoon suite as we were celebrating his birthday which was a lovely gesture from the hotel and we absolutely loved it, was complete luxury. Breakfast was also great and staff were super friendly throughout our stay. Will definitely be back!
