If you are not aware of Derby City mission you really should be. I could not do this service enough credit with just my words as they are truly a god send to people in need!!! Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am till 12 noon , everyweek! They offer a free cafe which is tea or coffee and some biscuits. Plus they have a food bank service which can be accessed here or with help through thr jubilee programme, which someone will help you with if you turn up. The staff who volunteer are not only welcoming and friendly but will have a chat with you about you and point you in the direction of services which could help change your life. I'm just one of many people who has used this service and been helped by them. Fantastic group of people doing work for people who are truly in need. So even if you just want a chat and a warm drink , pop in and introduce yourself as you'll be welcomed in no matter who you are and whatever situation you are currently in. There's no judgement whatsoever from anyone!!!!! Much love for all involved and I'll see you all soon!!!!!!! Just to add If you know anyone who could use this service? Please pass this information on as it could literally be the start of the change that someone needs!!! Love to you all

I worked at DCM before covid at their nightshelter. I ve have worked in several organisations who work with the homeless and these guys are one of the best. I was so impressed by this organisation and the churches who worked with them . DCM genuinely care about homeless people, I met some fantastic people from the guests to the volunteers to colleagues. A wonderful, non judgemental l, caring and kind group of people. If I found myself in a position to work or volunteer for them again I would not hesitate. 10/10 doing it right !
