03/02/2023 I emailed the director of the relevant department, this was passed to Richard Brown, Richard was excellent and dealt with the matter promptly and professionally. The long standing issue has been resolved and I am pleased to say we have had no problems since. A very big thank you to Richard. I score Richard 5 stars for what he has done. However the cumulative rating is based on previous issues as well so I have increased the rating to 3 based on everything. 30/01/2020 So here we are again New Year, same old story yet again DCC failed to collect my Mother in Laws Blue Recycling Bin (Not collected more times than it has been collected). They collected the Brown bin and when they came to collect the Blue Bin they just walked straight past the house to the next property. The bin they did collect they kindly left the gate wide open. Given that the bins should be collected from the back of the property and the occupant has limited mobility, clearly the Council don't give a S***. The Council have the relevant records on file that owner of the property cannot move the bins and they have to be collected from the rear of the property. WHAT EXACTLY DOES SHE PAY HER COUNCIL TAX FOR AND HOW MANY TIMES ARE YOU GOING TO DISCRIMINATE AGAIN HER!!! Sadly you can't leave less than one star! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14/12/19 - Update Yet again DCC have failed to empty the blue bin. DCC website shows the binmen were there at 13:25 on 12/12/19. Clearly they didn't bother calling at this address. There is yet again no excuse for the bin not to be emptied as the gate is not locked (nor can it be locked as the bolt catches have been removed). See previous comments and video clip. Just simply incompetent! How many times are you going to fail to collect bins from this property? Will this be reflected in the Council Tax rebate? Truly awful service ------------------------------------------------------------------ 04/10/19 - Update I decided to go round to the mother in laws today to see the problematic gate that has prevented the council emptying both the black and blue bins this week. The attached video post is taken immediately on arrival at the property. No weight training or trips to the gym were required in the making of this video Update, the council only like you to contact them via email. Having done this they responded by saying they could not access the bin in question - really! This involved open one gate latch which was not bolted or locked, yet their collection team were unable to do this (might be worth a trip to the gym if they are that weak), no wonder they couldn't move the bin. So you try ringing the council, who interesting don't have anyone available at 1 ........................................................................................................................... Original Post Truly rubbish (forgive the pun). This week (w/e 28/09/19) DCC failed to collect my mother in laws bin for the 5th time in about 8 weeks! Given that they either collect the household or garden waste on the same day, and they either forget one or the other regularly is truly awful. How many times do you need to raised a missed bin report for them to do basic bin collections. Given my mother in law is pretty much house bound and there is and has been an arrangement in place for some considerable time for them to collect the bins from the side of the house. How can the same bin crews forget to collect bins so often. The answer is simple, they just can't be bothered to go round the side of the house and open/close a gate - just pure laziness. They probably believe that because it is an OAP they can get away with it.

I am sure its one of worst Council in the country. Covid is long gone. Council house is still empty. They have spend millions on the Derby Council house. Who sits there. No one!! Only security guards, guarding empty building. They are all working from home and phone lines are open 9 to 12. Just 3 hours in the day. Seriously!! How could you resolves the problems for thousands of people who are struggling with in such short time. Nobody cares!! I know this review is not going to make any difference. It's pointless.

I spoke to a Sarah I believe at DCCouncil parking services on behalf of someone whilst the party concerned we’re with me I waited over 20 mins for phone to be answered when she did she was soooo rude and put me back on the phone to wait again perhaps some customer training would be helpful for her as it is us the council tax payers that are paying her wages if she doesn’t want to be there then there’s lots of people waiting to step into her shoes I then headed to the council house with a disabled person and her husband where an Asian lady was so helpful and patient with us and We would like to thank her very much
