Ignoring the science and motivated by profit. These people do not want to stop the climate crisis. Shame.

I am very disappointed that the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, as part of a government commited to a greener future, is promoting the development of the Cambo oilfield. I do hope you will reconsider this counterproductive strategy and promote renewable energies

I am disappointed that BEIS has not yet rejected the application to approve drilling of the Cambo oil field. Phase one of this project alone would have the climate equivalent of running 18 coal-fired power stations for a year, and would continue until 2050 - the point by which the UK is due to reach net-zero emissions. With one month until COP26, BEIS needs to reject this application and commit to not license any new fossil fuel projects.
