Ended up extracting a tooth unnecessarily. When pain persisted, they did a deeper scan that revealed there was a problem with an adjacent tooth. Imagine choosing to have your tooth extracted in order to end the pain only to find out your diagnosis was incomplete because they couldn't be bothered to do a deeper scan first.
