FAQ

What types of dental services are covered by your insurance plans?

Our insurance plans cover a wide range of dental services, including preventative care, routine check-ups, and more extensive treatments such as fillings, extractions, and root canals. We also offer coverage for cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening and orthodontic services.

Can I choose my own dentist or am I restricted to a network of providers?

We have a network of providers that we work with, but you are not restricted to this group. You can choose to see any licensed dentist that you prefer. However, we recommend using one of our network providers to ensure that you receive the maximum coverage under your plan.

How does your company handle claims and reimbursements?

We make the claims process as easy as possible for our customers. You simply submit a claim form and proof of payment to us, and we will reimburse you for the covered services. Our claims department is available to answer any questions you may have and provide assistance throughout the process.

What is the process for pre-approvals or authorizations for specific dental procedures?

If you require a specific dental procedure that is not covered under your plan, you will need to obtain pre-approval or authorization from us before receiving the treatment. This process involves submitting a request along with supporting documentation, and our team will review it to determine if coverage is available.

Are there any limitations or exclusions to dental coverage in your plans?

Like all insurance plans, there are limitations and exclusions to our dental coverage. We recommend reviewing your plan carefully to understand what is covered and what is not. Some common exclusions include cosmetic treatments, experimental procedures, and services provided by non-licensed professionals.

This is a border line fraud company. Once you sign up for the insurance through corporate benefit they quietly deduct from your salary yet not a single email or confirmation sent. After calling customer service through literaly 20 min wait they finally sent me a welcome letter and contract details. Making a claim is even more painful process, even dental treatment I received was more pleasant. I've never came across such a website that constantly times out and takes you to homepage, so difficult to navigate that I had to call HR to help me through. They openly state that must submit your claim within 60days yet once I submitted my claim they asked me for date treatment was completed and exact breakdown of procedures, Which most dentists do not provide on receipt.

The Denplan is a great health plan, but calling them is terrible. Waiting for a customer service rep for more than 8 minutes is unacceptable! I hung up.

Denplan is one of those companies that during this pandemic have failed to do the right thing for their customers. They turnover around £35m a year from their monthly dental payment plan scheme and haven't once informed their customers on where they stand in terms of continued payments, even though dental surgeries have been closed for the past 6 months, which means you're getting no treatment for the money you pay. Most places like gyms froze their customers payments until reopening. I'm pretty annoyed at how I've been treated by their customer services team and how they're trying to shift the blame onto my dental practice saying they're responsible for the money and not Denplan. My dental practice are decent people and certainly don't have the cash in the bank that Denplan have. I'd avoid signing up with them, which is a shame as you'll probably need to look elsewhere for a dentist. Companies like these are just money grabbers and don't care for anyone else but themselves.

Used to be a good company. I cancelled my policy and then decided to renew it two months later. Denplan do not answer the phone, the email addresses they give out are incorrect and don't work, their virtual chat cannot help and gives you a telephone number to ring with a extension number that does not exisit. They are an appaling company to deal with at present- have cost me a lot of time and stress and effort. Completely inneficient and worst service I have ever had.

Awkward to cancel contact. You have 14 days to change your mind and they send the paperwork 15 days later which is sneaky. I haven't been able to get treatment due to Corona restrictions so that's a big waste of money and no compensation from denplan, which is a worrying redflag as to how they would behave in light of a claim. Zero trust in denplan.

I have been with Denplan since 1997 and was once a good experience. Visited my dentist today and find my dentist has retired from the practice and a new person taken over seemed nice at the check up and said see you in 6 months time and by the way sign here and we will increase your premiums by another 10 pounds. To say the least not impressed and Denplan has little to no thought of its long term customers now forced to look elsewhere.

Never received my policy number so unable to use, their customer service is non existent. I spent 2 hours on hold being told I was the next to be answered, attempted ringing a total of 10 times, sent 6 emails and I can't even contact them to cancel. It's a shambles.
