    I rarely use this Post Office anymore. The reason being that in the past 8 months on 2 occasions I paid for 2 items to be sent 'First Class signed for'. Neither of them reached their destination and the tracking never altered from 'Accepted at Post Office' For both items I had to claim compensation ! One item was a set of house keys and the other was an original copy of my late Mother's Death Certificate. Lost forever ! I use the Post Office up the road in Cumberworth where items get delivered safely.

    Bit of a waste of time nowadays. The opening hours on the door aren't worth reading as there is usually a note saying "sorry, closed" underneath. Time someone took it on and ran it as a business and not a pass time.

    Woeful opening times! I called after 9.00 this morning to post a parcel only to find that the post office NEVER opens before 10.30am! I also noticed that its only open until 12.30 pm on Saturdays. I returned home and booked to send the parcel using 'Evri'. No wonder Post offices close and they lose business to alternative couriers. Reading your recent review concerning the poor attitude of staff I can only draw the conclusion that Denby Dale Post Office needs to take a long look in the mirror and give itself a good shake.

    Very good little post office and village shop.They operate a two till situation, one for the shop and one for the post office. This means if someone is buying shop items and using the post office, waiting times can be lengthy. But its friendly and has all the essentials for a village store.
