Unfortunately my grandaughter is too old to go the Demelza now but over the years they have provided excellent respite care. They have also provided transitional care after surgery to save her an extended hospital stay. The staff are wonderful they also care for families alike. Providing food and refreshments. My other Grandchildren loved spending time with Abigail in the fully stocked craft room. The older ones in the teenage room. I cannot thank them enough and will continue to support them with donations of goods for the shops and monetary when able.

You can't fail to be moved by the passion and commitment of the Demelza team. You could be mistaken for believing this would be a joyless place. It's quite the opposite. Demelza helps each terminally unwell child to live a rewarding life and offers unparalleled support to their families. A remarkable place with extraordinary people.

What can I say about this place? Wonderful helpful lovely. I viewed Demelza 3 weeks ago and I never liked it at all. They say it is from birth till 19 years old. I would say up to 10 years old. But my option now has changed so much. My son who is 16 years old came to Demelza last Sunday 24/02/19 and he passed that evening ☹️ I didn’t know what to do with myself nor my husband but we have stayed at Demelza for 5 days and it has really helped. They have a hop garden where your child will be placed in a cold room just like a bedroom and you have another room for the family to sit and think. Also you can look through the window at your child. It has really helped me to spend 5 days with my son before he gets moved to the funeral home. There are family rooms where you stay the night and they are lovely with comfy beds. The staff are absolutely fantastic they are there 24 hours a day and you can talk to them and they feed you if you are hungry. The support you get from this is truly amazing. I thought I would not like being there but it has so helped me and my husband. I’m truly grateful for Demelza.
