Pierre repaired a jewellery box that my dad had bought my grandmother 50 years ago which had unfortunately been broken. He was clear in the work required and pricing, and even went so far as to source replacement hinges that he amended to reflect the original style. When my dad gave the box to my grandmother all those years ago he included a note 'sometimes dreams come true' as she had wanted it for a while but couldn't afford it, it sounds corny but after trying to get the box repaired for a few years, Pierre did make my dream come true, and my dad was happy to see it once again at recent birthday. I have an antique mahogany dining table. Over the years the table top joints widened and the sun began to bleach the surface at one end. I contacted Pierre who came to inspect. He advised it would take two days and could be done in situ, including the final French polishing. His quote was very reasonable and the work done was of a very high standard. I was very pleased with Pierre’s pleasant personality, technical expertise and his clear loving of good furniture that restored the table to its original state. I would recommend Pierre to anyone needing some TLC for their fine furniture.
