Wanita was amazing and incredibly responsive when I called her this past November with a project to reupholster 8 dining room chairs. The job required a quick turn around and Wanita made the project seamless by providing me with a range of fabrics that were in stock to choose from at a very reasonable price. I booked her services based on her professionalism on the phone and did not read any on line reviews. When I looked at the reviews later that day I was concerned by a couple of negative reviews specifically those complaining that her work was not completed on time. Wanita was kind enough to have a conversation with me in greater detail about those particular circumstances. I can tell you with great confidence that if you clearly communicate your deadline and pick a fabric that is in stock, Wanita will do an amazing job! We were very pleased with the finished product and my only regret is that I did not find Wanita sooner. She can transform any tired looking piece of furniture back to its original state.

I don’t write reviews very often, but Wanita at Deco Upholstery is borderline a scam. She is unresponsive, and her business’s badly managed. Often Wanita didn’t respond for weeks and months at a time. 7 months after dropping off two small chairs (including fabric already provided) they were still not finished. In that time, we have fully renovated our property (outside and inside). Nothing had been done other than remove the covers. We initially dropped our chairs off in late October. i) on 7th December it was that Wanita was too busy and should be done for mid-Feb ii) On 4th Feb, you said that we should expect them back in March iii) I then didn’t chase again till 7th April, when she said the button company was closed and you should have one done by the end of April, so I asked if they could be done for 14th May iv) On 5th May, she emailed me to say that her air compressor had broken and another 2-3 weeks would be needed v) then at the end of May, she emailed me to say the buttons were still delayed and another 3-4 weeks is needed. Finally on 9th June I got them back, still unfinished while still keeping my 50% deposit. I recommend use another supplier and if you do use Deco, definitely do not pay anything in advance.

I had some drop in seats that needed recovering before christmas. The lady from the company was very helpful with her advice on fabric choice. The seats arrived before Christmas and they were admired by all! Best of all the fabric recommended was a wipeable easy clean type, although you wouldn't know from looking at it, so it didnt matter about the inevitable food spillages;) I have already recommended them to all of my friends and even left my first review on google to support this local business.
