I had my lips done here 2 weeks ago today by 2 trainees and Danni and omg I'm so happy with the results so natural looking. And the procedure itself wasn't as bad as I expected they numb your lips and are so gentle. and they talk you through every step of the treatment. I will definitely be going back for a top up, and would consider modeling for other treatments that become available. Please keep me in mind thank you girls your all superstars.

I honestly couldnât be more let down by the micro pigmentation course this academy offers! The only good thing about it was the fact they accept advanced learner loans, however they definitely make a lot of money back on the kit, where they charge ÂŁ1000 for a machine that comes straight from china and can also be found on alibaba, the academy sells these needles for ÂŁ30 when the exact same needles from the same brand retail for half of this price! The kit also came with 5 pigments 20 needles a box of gloves, sharps box, a few machine cord covers, brow rulers, pots, string and 2 pencils and a tube of numbing cream! This would of come in at ÂŁ400 at best! The course itself was very unorganised hosting nothing but technical difficulties, and even the covid exam needed for the qualification was completely forgotten about! I had to wait 2 months for my certificate to come through, I completely understand VCTC take a while however thatâs no excuse for having to wait for the debut academy certificate! On the practical side of things I found a lot of corners were cut, we wasnât taught the string method for mapping brows as the teacher said âitâs too messyâ! as somebody that was completely new to the course I felt like I needed some more 1:1 support, before being thrown in the deep end but this wasnât an option. I repeatedly asked for hair stroke patterns for brows, and was either ignored or palmed of with âthereâs no right or wrong answer and everyone does it differentlyâ as much as this is true there are some basic fundamentals that need to be followed and patterns need to be used as a beginner! When I sent a message to the group chat about this on another occasion I received a sales image back from another member of staff and nothing else! Demonstration videos were promised for all treatments but were only sent over for eyeliner! Again I asked for these repeatedly and did not receive anything. On the day of the second assessment the teacher arrived late and spent most of the time on her phone sorting out her own bookings, she then rushed us out as âthere was another classâ which was a untrue as it was 6pm and she had to lock the door behind us as she was the only one in the building! I asked for help with lip mapping as I found it hard to see where to go after numbing cream as it makes the lips go white! She completely took over and started tattooing over the lip line causing my model to have pigment tattooed on facial skin past the vermilion boarder which heals differently to lip tissue and this unacceptable with semi permanent make up! We were forced to leave before the treatment was finished and told to âfinish the lips when you get homeâ I stupidly listened to the person who was meant to be a professional and tried to complete the treatment when I got in, causing my model to go through extreme pain and suffer major swelling the following day! Surprisingly this unfinished treatment was marked the highest out of all my assessments! After this I was completely traumatised by doing lips and had to cancel the top up sessions I had scheduled for my case studies until I had sourced more training! I expected to have to do some continued professional development courses but to have to pay out and be trained in the basics of lip blush again is a complete joke! When I let my peers know about the extra guidance I had sourced and received, the teacher even messaged me personally to ask where I had found this additional training. Overall I am absolutely disgusted by this course! Students should not be thrown in the deep end and left on there own to tattoo peoples faces, after specifically saying they need extra support!! A course that is qualified by a world wide awarding body (Vctc) that offers government funding should be more regulated!!!

I have just completed my Pathways Aesthetics course at Debut in Wickford. I booked the course with Nikki who was amazing and helpful throughout the course. Danni was a fantastic tutor, she has invaluable knowledge and was thorough and extremely patient. Both Danni and Nikki were caring and supportive throughout, and they continue to support you after the course has finished. I canât wait to start my next course in August.
