I had wooden furniture to give away to Debra, as it seemed a good cause. I completed the online request for a collection of the furniture. They advertised a reply within 24 hours. Having not heard from Debra I contacted their nearest shop to the collection point, that being the Acocks Green shop. The gentleman I spoke to was most unhelpful, he simply told me to Whats Ap some photos. I asked for an email address as my photographs are on my PC. He told me the website was down. The next day I received a response to my online request, from their Shirley Road shop. The lady wanted photographs of the furniture, by email. Having looked at them she did not want some items as they had some in stock. One item had a mark on the front, but she said the driver would decide if he would take it. A van came, the driver took away a cabinet in excellent condition. I was given a leaflet, apparently the driver works for a company which does house clearance! Anyway, the driver asked where the other furniture was. I said upstairs. He said we don't go upstairs, health and safety.... Not insured... So the furniture has gone to the tip. I wonder, If I asked him to clear the house, would the driver have gone upstairs? Debra want something for nothing and I am sorry I gave them an excellent cabinet, rather that had joined the other stuff, in the tip.
