Loved our time on Debbie’s Day Boats - very friendly and helpful considering we were all beginners, and the boat itself is well equipped and very charming. Will be recommending to many people as it’s the perfect way to relax once you become confident navigating. Will also recommend the The Tame Otter for good food and atmosphere which is on Nessie’s route. Thanks again!

As Boaters who have spent many years on the Inland Waterways, we've come across quite a few "Day Hire Boats" . "Nessie" is by far the Best Looked after, and The Best Helmed, by those who hire her for an enjoyable day on the Cut. This is very obviously due to the Running of the business, and the Great attention to detail, which gives those who are hiring, a lovely, pleasant day. Whatever is done differently from other day hire companies at "Debbie's Day Boats", it certainly works. Giving everyone at Pleasurable experience. 10/10 to Lorna and the Team. Really recommend this. We had a great day. Weren’t sure how we’d handle the boat, but Lorna’s tuition puts you totally at ease. Then you grow in confidence as the day goes on. Feel like we’ve learnt a new skill now, and had a bit of a different experience, so I’d prefer a self-drive to a tour guided trip. The route takes you through a nice area and out into scenic countryside. The pubs are all well worth a visit. Everyone was friendly. Would definitely do it again. Think I would bring a radio or a Bluetooth speaker next time, but even without those we still really enjoyed the day. Highly recommend.

Would 100% recommend! We booked this as a gift for my mums big birthday. Lorna was brilliant at email correspondence, very professional and efficient. We arrived at the marina and had a thorough handover/opportunity to ask questions, get our bearings and go through some helpful scenarios. Nessie the boat was beautifully clean and had everything we needed for the day. On the route there were a good handful of pubs to choose from, no locks (which was good for a first time day trip) and some lovely views/wildlife. Thank you so much! We had a brilliant day. Just wish it didn’t go by so quick!

Amazing day out with friends (6 adults & 2 kids) on NESSIE canal boat, we worked our way up to Huddlesford, tied up & had lunch in the pub then turned the boat around and sailed back, loved the day, so much countryside to see, even thought we've lived here all our lives you just dont appreciate how good the scenery is until you get another perspective, this might become an annual day out....
