Honestly, just Get a tent instead. I have been living Here for 7 months and i cannot reccomend this place to anyone. The appartments are infested with silverfish, which isnt Even The worst part. The rooms are not sound proofed at all which becomes extremely noisy when you live together with 9 people. The window is not soundproofed either and traffic gets real loud. The kitchen is too small and There is not enough room in The fridge or freezers for everyone. The elevator is out of order constantly and was out for TWO WHOLE MONTHS last year. My mailbox gets spammed with flyers for bars and Clubs i will never visit. And The whole place kinda looks and feels like a prison. RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

It's filled with silverfish and rot. It's a disgrace to have been living here for so long (4 weeks actually). The elevator hates to go up and down (actually more than I hate to walk up stairs - which I hate humongously) and the neighbours are having a føkkfest in symphony while I try to sleep. All in all I hate this place and would never come back :-) P.S: I'm having nightmares of drum 'n bass sounds after I've tried to sleep here.

It's great accomodation for first year students. However 6 washing machines and dryers among 3 block of flats... Is a bit insane. Common room is large, and the majority of people here are great. Can be slightly noisy in the evenings especially on the weekends and eventful nights. But other than that, it's chill x

The accomodation is overpriced for what you get The photos on the website are deceiving (rooms are dim and very close to other buildings) Front desk is always shut, staff were friendly but very rarely available Security manged to miss two motorbikes being stolen 10m from the front desk Maintenance is very slow (months to wait) unless there was immanent chance of damage to University property (eg a bad water leak) in which case the damage was temporarily prevented at students inconvenience There was no hot water when moved in and a temperature control issue persisted throughout my stay There was mould in my flats kitchen which persisted thought-out my stay. My blocks fire alarm developed a fault. The alarm would sound on some floors as soon as a detector went off with other floors alarms only sounding ten or more minutes later. The other blocks did not have this issue. This issue persisted for months. The mattress was old and really uncomfortable Cleaning is done by the Solent Uni Cleaners. These people were clearly overworked and the department understaffed. Outside bins would often overflow where rats and seagulls would rip into the bags and rubbish would be spewed over the grounds. The rooms only have electric heaters. These have a timer that limits how long they can be left on for. This meant in winter whenever I came back to my room or woke up, it was freezing cold for the next few hours whilst the heater slowly warmed up. There is a serious silverfish infestation that is only tackled through the odd spot treatment in the odd area. A bit like fighting a large fire with child's watering can. The facilities in the common room are either broken or in poor condition. During a period when the university was cautious over covid and required us to wear masks inside our flats (two flats per floor) tours of our accommodation were carried out. We had to wear masks in communal areas but Solent continued to show visitors around our accommodation. During the tours there was a sudden and temporary improvement in the cleanliness of common areas. When people were required to isolate in their room one of my flatmates was forgotten for two days and the help received was only: a microwave, kettle, mini fridge, 1KG of sugar, tea, instant coffee, 1 tin of macaroni and cheese, 1L UHT milk, 1 pack of biscuits and some toilet roll. That was meant to last for one week when they were not allowed to leave their room and cook. Only due to other flatmates helping one another and not being at all reliant on the Uni or the accommodation were people fed.
