Great place to buy stoves or anything to do with stoves. They now have a cafe upstairs, I didn’t try it as had already eaten before going there but it looked good so might be worth a visit!

They removed our old oil-fired AGA in preparation for installing an Everhot range cooker. They capped off our oil supply and then drilled a hole through granite to enable the electrical connection. They also checked with Dean Forge/Everhot to ensure that cable distances were adequate. They worked diligently and cleaned up well after the job, although there were inevitably dust and residual oil fumes to contend with.

We weren't very impressed with the customer service in the Exeter showroom. Got told off for coming in the 'wrong door' despite there not being a sign saying no entry. Asked for some help with the fire pit we wanted to buy, but the person at the counter didn't come over and we found their attitude rather rude. They made no effort to provide any help of talk us through anything, even though we spent over £350. The fire pit itself looks good but it is covered in thick black grease and we got covered in the stuff. There was no explanation of this, it was just handed to us outside and that was that.

Dean Forge installed a new stove and flue for me six years ago, but because they installed a useless chimney cowl which allowed water to flood down my flue, my stove has rusted out and I'm having to replace it. So not only have I just had to fork out another £1000+ for a new stove, but a further £400 for fitting, plus £500 for chimney scaffolding so that we can replace the cowl with one that actually works. If using this company, insist on a conversation about the best cowl for your set-up. Total cost of this mistake: £2400. Very frustrating considering a decent cowl would have only cost around £40 more than the one they installed.

We had a woodburner fitted by dean forge last year. It seems that we have a down draft issues and we had no help whatsoever to sort out the problem. The only reply after contacting Dean forge about it was a query if I had clean the chimney. I am writing this review at 2.30am after the co2 alarm blast through the night. I feel left on my own without any support or solution to my problem and I have no idea what I am suppose to do to resolve the problem which seem to happen every three to four weeks and stronger wind coming from one direction. I feel helpless and now will have to stop using our woodburner until I bring a professional to have a look at it. So so so annoyed right now.

Very polite and helpful, good quality product. You evidently get what you pay for. Chap providing the quote seemed determined to put me off (outside flues are not the best may need pre-heating and regular sweeping). However I trust honest people, so they got my custom. Installers left to own devices and just got on with the job. Only criticism was that they didn’t ask where to site the carbon monoxide detector, I would have chosen somewhere a little less visible. Overall great job and stove with heat shield, means it can be closer to the wall so I can still see the TV from my favourite position, (next to a hot stove).

We found the team at Dean forge really helpful when we went to look at the Everhot stove. We also had someone come and ensure that they could access the kitchen easily and that the stove would fit well. The demo was great and our new Everhot is installed and working a treat.
