Lovely place with a beautiful villa in the heart of the country. We used it for going to Badminton horse trials which it isn't particularly the most ideal for. But it is a lovely location in and of itself, with amazing food. We did however struggle to find the rest of the advertised grounds and walking trails through them. Had a fantastic 3 days at the hotel. Set in stunning well maintained grounds a couple of minutes drive from junction 14 of the M5. The hotel itself is beautiful and literally took my breath away. The staff were professional, polite and very friendly to myself and my four legged companion Kai. Breakfast was really good with a wide selection of hot and continental. The atrium bar was great with really friendly bar staff and delicious pizzas and burgers. Personal favourite was the spicy chicken pizza. It was lovely to go for a swim in the 20m Swimming pool and the gym was well equipped albeit quite small. Not everything was perfect though so I need to be honest about that. Weather was brilliant so it was a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and have some food and drink outside. The only issue was their outdoor bar closed inexplicably at 4pm every day. You therefore had to go inside to one of the indoor bars to buy drinks and then bring them outside yourself. Massive missed opportunity to get more revenue as some people couldn't be bothered to do that so just went back to their rooms. The room was also a bit tired and dated. It was big which was great but the TV was small and a bit out of place, there were a few scuffs on the walls, chipped tiles in the bathroom, and for a 4 star hotel I was disappointed at the lack of a mini fridge or air conditioning. I kind of understand the latter point as it's a grade II listed building but I still would have expected it for the price. All in all I have to say I had a fantastic time. It's probably the best pet friendly hotel I've been to and would definitely recommend to others.

Went for a wedding with my husband and we loved our stay. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are modern yet keeping the countryside style. Very good service overall and clean rooms. The estate is beautiful. They keep the grounds in excellent condition and the garden is lovely to have a drink or enjoy tea. We had a lovely wedding and a lovely stay.

Booked as a last minute night away, and felt like we'd stumbled on a real treasure. Took a budget option, but got excellent value for money, in a stunning building, gorgeous architecture - particularly the interior - and lovely grounds. It felt grand without taking itself too seriously and our room was comfortable and quiet, even during a big wedding. Staff were extremely friendly and considerate. I'd definitely recommend.
