When you book a room which includes breakfast you expect there to be some breakfast left at 9h00. Apparently, it is not the most important meal of the day at De Vere Latimer Estate. There were more items to eat, for sale, in reception, than were available for the included breakfast. Fruit, all finished and not replenished, same with breads, no eggs at all. It is funny how the paid for dinner was great, but the included breakfast was non-existent. Makes one wonder about the priorities?

I'm guilty of only reviewing places that I've thoroughly enjoyed. This is since I received a right royal spanking from a global trip-reviewing outfit because I was honest! Latimer Estates is obviously 5☆, a blind person would see it as much. Therefore, why have I rated it as 4☆ overall? Everything was perfect: the site, its history, the food, the people. Especially the people, so friendly and accommodating. But the generous breakfast saw me need a bio break, and whilst in one of the downstairs WCs, I couldn't escape the congealed contents of previous occupants' nasty habits wiped upon the walls. Dear-oh-dear.

The hotel is located in the peaceful area. There are beautiful landcases. You can also see there a great variety of different animals (beginning with rabbits and finishing with pheasant...) There are swimming pool and gym in the hotel. There are plenty of good quality food wich can be delivered in the room. Estate was easy to find, and it's in a lovely location. Lots of green space and walks around. The building is a bit old and could benefit from some sprucing up. My room could also benefit from a bit more light. We found the rooms a bit dark 😀 Onsite facilities were well kept, the swimming pool was clean and, more importantly, warm. All our meals were nicely prepared, right on time and tasty. Meals were a good balance with lovely dessert for lunch and dinner. The staff were nice, friendly, and polite. The onsite conference room was clean, spacious, and well ventilated. De Vere Latimer is a lovely place To the staff, thanks for making our weekend extra special. Food & drinks: The chef Partha was amazing... he went above and beyond and made us some Nigerian Jollof rice. All our meals were delicious and appropriate for our group, which was over 50 people
