No booklet for breakfast times or leaving, no directional info. Regarding the bar,which is adjacent to breakfast room. Room very basic and o additional blanket or pillow. We were a long walk away from Reception even via a lift. We were in a new extension similar to a travel lodge. Saw little of the actual hall beyond hall ways. Lovely gardens. But disappointing.

Pre-booked early check in for a wedding. Arrived to be told room wasn't ready and to use leisure facility to get ready, as if getting ready for a wedding in a gym changing room really was an option. Room still wasn't available at normal check in time and had to transfer cases on return after wedding. Very poor customer service. Family room not a permanent set-up; camp bed stuffed into room.

Lovely location and hotel let down by a few niggles number 1 disabled parking as been overtook by electrical charging points the disabled spaces now provided are of a standard parking space size and couldn't use them incase we couldn't get in the car. Our room was a lovely size but only had a small single panel radiator we had to use a extra heater to get it anywhere near warm enough for us we all had the shivers and had to get in bed. the 10% gratuity payment added to our restaurant bill i had been tipping the staff most the day but adding 10% to your bill without asking i thought very cheeky especially when the staff twice tried to take our sons meal when he had not finished eating. Lastly our room was next to a storage cupboard so come 7.45 we had the cleaning staff banging and talking outside our door so a lay in was off the cards so we showered and left. Besides this it was a lovely stay but probably wouldn't use again as all ive done since i got home is try catch up on my sleep.

The rooms are a bit tired but everything was functional and good cleanliness, the best part is definitely the leisure centre as to be fair the majority of the hotel is a modern building with not much charm. Breakfast is pretty varied and well presented. Food on the restaurant is a bit disappointing, very bland and boring, we've stayed twice now and both times the lowest score we'd give is to food.
