They fail to mention that they charge agencies an annual subscription to use their services. Surely this fee should be deductable from the clients that use them not the suppliers?

It's sad try to register with De peol so many times. Never seem to get any contact how to even get in there. All the Staff at de peol customer service is rude and unhelpful.

A company promoting themselves in Camden (London) as a the only and fair way for schools to book supply teachers, saving them money on workforce and apparently preventing teachers being treated unfairly . Their website sounds like a dream come true. But what does it practically mean? Firstly, they ensured all Camden schools use only certain agencies, acting as middle men between them and teaching agencies. Interestingly enough the official de Poel address is near Manchester. Secondly, they apparently set their own pay rates - however they calculated them - not allowing the agencies to pay the teachers what they deserve according to their experience and previous pay scales. Do the schools ever question how is all this practically and legally even possible? As of this morning, just after a week of working with a new agency to provide me with supply assignments I question how is it possible that a booking is confirmed by an agency, via those people, emailed to a teacher (so she does not book anything else for that day) and then on the day, when about to depart, her phone rings 6times in a space of 15minutes because the booking is being questioned, double checked, cancelled and changed 3 times over back and forward between two schools resulting in a big mess for all involved - the teacher, the agent from a teaching agency booking it, the school who needed a supply cover. The teacher doesn't get paid of course. She wasted a day she could have been happily paid, spent several hours trying to understand how is this even legally possible to create a company like this, and lots of energy researching what does the Union have to say about this way of employment. Realizing that the booking confirmations mean practically absolutely nothing until the second you actually arrive to that school and they take you into the classroom. And I am still to see if I get paid for all the previous days and how much as this way I have no control of time sheets either. In 2006, LEA educational authorities of certain London boroughs had their own supply teaching pool, sent teachers to schools within that borough and paid a daily rate properly calculated from the main teacher pay scale they were on. Why reinvent a wheel? If it was possible to give 0 out of 5 stars, I would.

I was invited to an interview, I made quiet an effort in preparing and travelling. I was told they would contact me either way if I was successful or not. Obviously not as I haven't heard anything but feedback would have been nice.
