DDG Windows refused to provide me with warranty paperwork after installation and payment had been made. I went through my builder ASK Interiors to have bi-fold doors installed by DDG. I paid the builder a premium to take care of logistics with DDG. As the owners of ASK Interiors and DDG are family friends I was under the impression I would be taken care of well. Sadly, this is where things went wrong. After DDG installed the doors and they had been fully paid for, the builder ended up abandoning my job and never returning to finish. I was given no warranty for my bi-fold doors. I have spoken to DDG and requested the warranty paperwork which they have since refused to provide. According to their internal records there is an outstanding £500 left on the account. I told them I have fully paid for the doors to the builder who's job it was to pay DDG. I provided evidence for the payment I had given the builder for the doors too, which fell on deaf ears. I asked whether they themselves have chased the builder for payment at which point the conversation got cagey. I know they are family friends as when the owner Neel visited the site he mentioned to my builder Gaan how he had left a bag at his mums house and needed to collect it later. As my builder explained they have been friends for decades. It is truly disappointing to be treated this way by a local firm. They should treat all of their customers with equal respect. My experience with DDG windows has been nothing but brilliant. I came across them by chance as I initially approached a friend who worked for a window company in Essex for uPVC Sash windows. They were friendly and the windows were ok but after some time I was against the idea of sash windows. I then decided to approach a local firm Bargain Windows but wasn’t so impressed with their finishing product. I also approached Everest Windows but their customer service wasn’t great. It was by chance someone mentioned DDG had really good fitters that I decided to approach them. From the first call it was a pleasant experience. Neil was very helpful and knowledgeable, they came to the property and provided excellent advice on the window sizes we should go for and the openings we should have. Later Raj came to the scene and was also very helpful and took all the measurements of the windows. Finally Jeya took over and helped with booking the fitters in. There was delay my end in getting the work done as I was not ready and DDG was very patient. I went for back aluminum windows and they have come out really good and the fitters were also brilliant. Overall its been the perfect experience, their windows are not cheap so if you are looking for buy 1 get 1 free then I say look on ebay. The prices you are paying is a premium but its worth it as the quality build of the windows, fitters and the customer experience has been exceptional.
