Overall I was happy with the service that I received from DC Electrical - the staff are friendly / polite and they were able to get an electrician out to fix my issue quickly. However... I would advise anyone who uses them in future to source your own materials! I was charged £302.40 for a hob which I subsequently realised I could have purchased from Currys for £159 or Argos for £170. Obviously this was my error for not shopping around, but I was very surprised (almost to the point of disbelief) to learn that the suppliers they use charge almost double what I could have sourced myself. Would definitely recommend this company. I had to turn the electricity off due to smoke coming out of the extractor fan. Its difficult to get tradespeople at the moment but they came out in a few hours so I would have peace of mind about the fault by making it safe and making sure I could turn the supply on again. Very helpful and professional. Really helped me out at short notice and the price was more than reasonable too. Service: Fan installation

Sadly after 15 years using this company we realised they were ripping us off. We paid £500 for a EICR report on our new home, the result they recommended a £6250 full rewire. We got 3 independent electricians to review the report and look at house and quote the works, all 3 said we didn't need a rewire at all, just a new consumer unit at cost of approx £1000. Works now complete and no surprises no rewire needed. Readings recorded on report completely wrong. Wish I had questioned all estimates and works for last 15 years now. Loyalty isn't rewarded. They itemised items on the report incorrectly to try to scare us into a full rewire, electricians we now know have guidelines on what to categorise things on these reports, they have ignored that completely. And the readings they gave were literally just wrong and in some cases impossible to have read. 3 independent electricians have told us this. We then asked for a breakdown and price of the essential work necessary to make the house safe and received nothing back from them. I was referred to DC Electrical (Darryl) and his firm through my kitchen installer and can not rate Darryl's firm highly enough. He has been very responsive and won't leave the job until everyone is satisfied (including himself). There are not many tradesmen that make the effort to call (I was out of the UK) and send pictures to make sure that everything I had asked was done the way I wanted. Even when one LED spot light seemed never to work again, Darryl threw in a spare transformer for free - I can not recommend him highly enough and will use him again and again as new household renovation projects spring up!
