This is our favourite wine shop/bar. They even provide deck chairs on sunny days with ice buckets for the green. Not only is the wine inexpensive and varied, the service is spot on. Delicious cheeses, crisps, meats ……not forgetting the Happy Endings ice-cream with a flake. Try the Froze it is amazing

This place was our saviour in lockdown and we continue to come here on a very regular basis. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the wine selection is incredible and not overpriced unlike some other wine merchants. If you are cooking a meal at home they are happy to suggest wine to go with. We have also been to a wine and cheese tasting and a food and wine tasting. Matt is brilliant. If you haven’t tried daygustation wines yet then I highly recommend you do.

My husband and I were really looking forward to visiting this place ever since we moved to the area. We finally saw an empty spot one day whilst having a walk, and seized the opportunity to have a glass of wine on a pleasant summer eve. A member of staff said he will return in a minute after we decide what we wanted. No one returned to take our order for over 15 minutes, so I decided to enter the shop and look for the staff member. He saw me and impolitely said to wait for him at my seat, whilst he happily chatted to someone in the shop. Then the owner came after a while, asked if we were served, we said we weren't, and he went away never to return. The staff member eventually returned and took our order. The place seemed a bit subjective in the sense that if the owner or the staff knew the guests, they would serve them first. Otherwise you just wait for them to chat away with the friends. We don't have the intention to return even though the place looked promising.
