Ended up here by mistake after taking a wrong turn on roads without any street lighting on an extremely foggy night. I'm not sure why but the car park seemed to be busy for 2am in the morning. There were parked cars with steamed up windows. Some of the cars had a lot of suspect movement going on inside and others had people standing around watching whatever was going on in them. Needless to say, I did a quick U turn and headed out of there.

A small visitor car park at the end Back Lane off Pilgrims Lane - pass the Visitor Centre and Stifford Pumping Station! Due to the long open low-lying open grass area - you can see a beautiful panaromic view of the whole Davy Down Riverside Park including the Viaduct Railway Bridge! Car Park doesn't have any sign though detailing any opening hours - perhaps it is open 24/7! As per the information ℹ board and website, this is the only entrance for a car 🚙 and ret of the entrances are on foot or for cycle only! Car Park surface is full of pebbles and uneven surface! For mobility restricted users and wheelchair ♿ users need extra caution ⚠when using this car park!

It's a car park and it's free! Perfect place to leave the car when you explore Davy Down and the surrounding woods and paths that are within walking distance and there is plenty.
