I would like to commend the brilliant service I received during a routine eye test Cindy noticed a tear I didn’t realise I had on my retina, she referred me to the eye hospital where it was repaired by laser treatment the very next day. The consultant was very impressed that she flagged this up as not an easy one to spot. I am grateful to her and the whole team at David Spicers.

This is the best opticians I've ever been to — having been to many over the last 30 years. With a complicated longstanding eye problem, and having been to many different opticians in the UK (and eye exam ophthalmologists while living abroad) to try and solve this, this service was well beyond anything experienced before. And they had the patience and expertise to finally fix the problem. The technology is top notch, and David and Cindy, the opticians, spent much longer than a normal appointment to examine and deduce the problem. They also say that if anything persisted in the weeks following, they have me back, at no charge, to give me a second exam and consultation to confirm and make any necessary tweaks. Any lens change would be made at no cost within 30 days. The fitting team are also professional, friendly, highly trained, and with years of experience. There are also some lovely frames on offer — including sun glasses — at a wide range of prices. In short, don't go anywhere else. It is a wonderful independent opticians that Oxford is lucky to have.
