FAQ

What is your staff to child ratio?

Our staff to child ratio varies depending on the age group of the children. For babies, it is 1:3, for toddlers it is 1:4, and for preschoolers, it is 1:8. We always ensure that we have enough staff on duty to maintain a safe and secure environment for all children.

What is your policy on sick children attending the creche?

We have a strict policy that sick children should not attend the nursery. If a child shows any signs of illness, we ask parents to keep them at home until they have fully recovered. This is to prevent the spread of illness to other children and staff.

Are your staff trained in first aid and early childhood education?

Yes, all our staff are trained in both first aid and early childhood education. We believe that these skills are essential for providing high-quality care and support to young children.

What activities do you offer for children of different ages?

We offer a wide range of activities for children of different ages, including arts and crafts, storytime, music and movement, outdoor play, and more. We tailor our activities to the age and developmental stage of each child to ensure that they are engaged and stimulated.

How do you communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities?

We have an open-door policy and encourage parents to speak to our staff regularly about their child's progress and daily activities. We also provide daily reports that detail what each child has been doing throughout the day. Additionally, we hold regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss each child's development and progress.

Incompetent staff, unhealthy attitudes to food. Regular trips to the local Asda to buy ingredients to make cakes regularly, almost daily. Breakfast is given at the centre but this is a tactic to waste the short time a child spends at this centre, which is often just half a day so that’s at least half an hour in the bag for the staff. Also, most worryingly, senior staff at the centre will have no problem enforcing restraining measures in children. Do not send your child here.
