I purchased a vessel from David Morris and I asked on a number of occasions what the top speed of her was. David put in writing on several occasions that it was capable of in excess of 30 knots. I took his word as a reputable seller and had it collected and delivered to myself. Upon testing the vessel, it failed to reach 20 knots and after 2-3 hours use the jet pump bearings and carbon seal failed. I contacted David to inform him that the vessel did not meet the speeds quoted (underachieving by a huge %) however he simply did not care. I understand the parts can fail and took that on the chin however the blatant lies about her speed were and still are unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone to part with their money via David Morris. You may as well buy privately as it'll be cheaper. He doesn't care at all once he has taken your money. In response to your reply David, I initially ran the vessel up the river Hamble for approx. 30 minutes which is when I emailed to say thanks, however after having a chart plotter fitted and running it a second time in the Solent I noticed she was performing way below where you clearly stated she would. I did indeed contact you to raise my issue with you directly and your exact words were "I'm sure you'll find a solution". Not a particularly forthcoming response nor any acknowledgment to the fact you have mis represented the vessel and subsequent mis selling of the vessel.
