    It was bad when they did major works and charged full price to members when the place was a building site. However I hoped it would improve once done. It hasn’t. The spa is nice but if you have kids it’s not much use. The family changing is always filthy and wasn’t renovated when the rest of the club was. The ladies changing area is often way too cold. But the worst thing is the bar service which really is the worst. From closing the kitchen early, to the long waits even for a coffee, it gets to the point that you either give up or take your food away in a box. And don’t bother emailing the GM as he doesn’t reply (even when you tell membership you’ve been ignored!). This club has so much potential but doesn’t live up to it currently.

    Pool nice however for the price would of expected better. Other members told me they were embarrassed to bring guests due to state of changing rooms and I can see why now, lockers dirty inside and mildew all over the sink for water bottles. Had a snack after swimming and a new stuff member coughed on my cake and served it without cutlery. Attention to detail and hygiene just isn't there. Tried yoga and it was right next to the gym so I couldn't relax as all I could hear was equipment banging and none of the classes were in the serinity studio. There's also the fact that half the pool area has now been made into a private spa you have to pay more to use and the jacuzzi removed which has caused members i know to leave.

    Exactly what you expect from a David lloyd. Nice facility, a nice gym refurb. The new spa is nice even though a little small to similar ones that have opened recently. But all in all. A good place to train
