Facilities are amazing and if this is what you are looking for then it will be perfect for you. However the customer support hasn’t been satisfactory for me, very nice people but they don’t seem to want to help me at all. My circumstances changed between when signing up and I was told that if I cancelled within 2 weeks I would receive a full refund. I did cancel within 2 weeks and they cancelled my account, but they still haven’t gave me my refund which I was told would be with me within 10 working days. I have also been emailing for a month now with all my emails being ignored, even after escalating it. Furthermore, it seems they have also began to ignore my phone calls as nobody picks up, but when my friend called they picked up immediately. I was also told I would receive a call ‘tomorrow’ to discuss my refund by the person who gave me my tour and made the agreement with me, this was weeks ago. They are quick to respond to you when you are thinking about signing up, but if you have any issues apparently you are promptly ignored.

Great gym, lots of facilities and high quality equipment. Reasonable range of instructors but not the best. Big lounge for chatting and chilling, nice coffee and interesting cold drinks. Enjoy the monthly quiz. Be good when the building work is finished too many blanked windows. I enjoy being a member!

I joined David Lloyd Derby three weeks ago, and here’s my experience so far: • The gym is clean and spacious, and there’s ample equipment. • The spa is unbelievable – it’s brilliant for rest and recovery and has improved both my physical and mental wellbeing. • The changing room facilities are excellent. • The receptionists are friendly, helpful, and considerate, and always greet members with a warm smile. • Other members are also friendly and very sociable. I’ve been having a great experience, and it feels a privilege to be a part of this club!

I’ve been a member of David Lloyd Birmingham since 2003 and then Litchfield recently. I use the club frequently and my 8yr old has tennis and swimming at the club. The staff at Birmingham are super friendly. I recently visited Derby DL as I was in the area. I forgot my card at home so asked the receptionist to sign me in using my membership details. Firstly, she didn’t acknowledge me until I asked for assistance even though the reception area was quiet. 2nd, she actually looked quite annoyed to have to signed me in manually even though I had provided all of my details. I then spent some time in the outdoor pool which was lovely and warm. I would say I have mixed reviews about the club and facilities.
