Absolutely amazing opticians. Had an emergency for my son who needed glasses for he's eye surgery or the surgery would be cancelled within two days. Max got us straight in and made my sons glasses within 30 minutes. Could not thank him enough.

My wife was unwise enough to leave her very expensive glasses in reach of our puppy. We went to another opticians who couldn't help and recommended David. We didn't realise he wasn't open on Saturdays. Not only was he in by chance with another customer by appointment only, the cleaners little girl, who was ever so professional and polite, told David we were there, and informed us he was just coming. He fixed my wife's glasses and made us feel welcome even though he was closed. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

I had a fantastic experience, from my eye test through to a consultation and selecting some new glasses – and I was able to collect them about an hour later. The shop is unassuming from the outside but inside it has a lovely, characterful and traditional feel, and the customer service is personal, relaxed and professional. I'm thoroughly enjoying my new specs and I'm very glad I opted for David Grimes over all the big-name opticians in Canterbury.

Absolutely exceptional service. I went in for prescription sunglasses, which I got for a fantastic price, and came back the next week to get some new normal glasses because I was so pleased with my previous purchase. David and his wife spent ages with me making sure I got the right frames on both occasions and gave brilliant styling advice, and they were so lovely to my three children whilst I was there. I will never go anywhere else for glasses.
