Wouldn’t recommend students to stay here. Felt extremely uncomfortable throughout my stay, staff feel it’s okay to come into your room whenever they please. Have had a few issues with managers/staff and they are rude. Have felt quite targeted and accused in certain situations, that I did not participate in. Have had my guests banned. You are only aloud guests over for 3 nights and you have to sign a permit. Day guests must leave by 23:00pm or you get into trouble. You must be extremely careful with fire-alarms, as I accidentally set of the fire alarms at 2am when getting ready in the shower and spraying to leave & have had to have a meeting due to not being believed and accused of doing other “suspicious activities”. Wi-Fi is terrible and always has a problem with it. Lift is always broken. When living in a space that is supposed to be your home you shouldn’t have to be made to feel uncomfortable. And this is how Iv felt throughout my whole stay and has affected me drastically. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation and will not be staying here again. If I didn’t have lectures & placement I would leave earlier !!

Agreeing with most of the negative reviews on here. The rooms are overall bad quality quality regardless of the price you pay. It's in simple things like the mattresses, showers or the sink that uses 1900s style two tap system. (The WiFi is also not great, but if you have a cable for your laptop it's OK) The Fire alarms are an absolute pain, and are common to go off multiple times a night, sometimes even consecutive nights as well. Simply because they get set off on purpose most of the time as you have to try to set them off by just cooking your dinner. The guest system is also plain dumb. You are able to have someone over for up to 3 days, but with a cool down period of 7 days. To keep it short, you can't have your GF/BF stay over weekly, even if they stay 1 night at the time, understandable to prevent abuse but there are far superior systems. You are also only allowed 1 day guest, so you have friends that want to see your room for 5 minutes? Too bad, sign them in separately. What really nailed this accommodations coffin however, is the fact that there are continuously 'big' construction works taking place, to the point where it's impossible to stay in your dorm when they start, starting around 8-9 am. You could argue that these construction works are necessary. Fair, however, they do not need to take weeks on end if it wasn't a small team of 5 people taking on 300 rooms.

The absolute worst place to stay in for student accommodation. There are countless things wrong with this place it’s hard to even put words together to describe it. For starters, the room was dirty and the carpet had old stains all over it. The ensuite bathroom is a joke with the green walls and pathetic shower. It has the worst water pressure and temperature that is either freezing cold or scorching. The amount I pay is not worth it at all. I think the worst thing about the place is the fire alarm that goes off nearly every night during the early hours of the morning (more than once a night). Having to go outside at 4/5am when you have uni at 10am because someone set off an alarm to try and sneak someone in is the most ridiculous thing and no one does anything about it!! There’s no CCTV in the stairwell so no one knows what or who it is. This also made me have a severe amount of anxiety and reluctancy to sleep at night because I was always anticipating the really loud and horrific sound of the alarm. Don’t decide to live here if you have any self respect.

In my personal experience, it was a disaster staying at this place. Staff are rude and useless, whenever you needed help with laundry you’re gonna have to help yourself and learn how to use those washing machine. When there is a problem you have to contact the company directly yourself as the receptionist has said that they got nothing to do with the laundry section so they cant help you with anything which i think it is important that staff should know and need to be able to at least provide help for students in whatever it is in the building as possible, because we’re paying a lot of money but the service is awful. Secondly, as a student who live on the 7th floor and the lift has been broken for almost 3 months long, they won’t do anything about it, they won’t try to fix it, there’s no guarantee when it’s going to be fixed and let students struggle carrying heavy stuff up and down by themselves. And Apparently it’s also illegal to have no lift working if there is more than 4 floors. However, it’s really frustrating for students because they are so sick of doing grocery shopping and loss motivation to attend lectures, this affects in many kind of ways. I just thought It is very tricky that in the contract have stated that “the lift come from a different company” , which basically mean that Davis bomberg house is not part of it, so it is easy to say when there’s an issue with the lift such as lift isn’t working or broken - It’s just not their problem to fix it, which is an easy way to get away with things so they won’t have to pay extra for the lift components or hire someone to fix the lift. Honestly, they just won’t care about students, they kept sending emails with loads of excuses that the lift shipment has been delayed but they have now finally received the lift components and they can’t find a person to fix the lift. I just believe it’s not an easy job to find someone to fix it but it’s not hard to find one, and it doesn't take days & days to fix 1 lift. There are many more things i could talk about this place but i’ll leave these here for now. This place isn't worth for your money.

Not too bad for student accomodation. Few things could do with updating and rules being changed ect but it is what it is
