I've been going to DAT Tyres for well over 10 years, and they've always been excellent. Competitive prices, friendly and professional bunch of staff. Parking outside can be a little bit of a Tetris situation sometimes, but I still highly recommend them.

Went into Queens Park Tyres a week or two back to get some big fat BF Goodrich All-Terrains for my US pick-up, absolutely great service from Michael the gaffer and his crew. Though these American tyres aren't that common in the UK, Michael got them in within a couple of days, good fresh ones too, only about four months old, not ones that had been sitting on a shelf for years like you can be palmed off with at some other places. Super-quick expert service, and they happily let me torque up the wheel nuts myself to my own spec. The place is quite small and doesn't look much, but don't let that put you off - it's a great shop, staffed by people who know what they're doing. Thanks Michael, and thanks to your crew. I one hundred per cent recommend this place.
