Yes, we do have age and weight restrictions for the safety and well-being of our horses and riders. We generally recommend riders be at least 8 years old and weigh no more than 220 pounds.Are helmets provided or do riders need to bring their own?
We provide helmets for all riders at no additional cost. Safety is our top priority, and we require all riders to wear a helmet while mounted on a horse.Can riders bring their own horses to use on your fields?
Unfortunately, we do not allow outside horses on our facility. We have a well-trained herd of horses that are specifically chosen and trained for trail riding in the Dartmoor area.Are lessons available for beginners or riders looking to improve their skills?

Wonderful western experience in Dartmoor. Beautiful sure-footed quarter horses, lovely long rides through the moors with picnics and pub stops. Phil and Mandi are super hosts/guides and Danny such a great horseman - they all made us feel so welcome and at ease and the horses are really well looked after. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to ride western and explore Dartmoor on horseback.
