I've lived close to both borders of Darlaston, most of my life. You can tell who are the ones who have lived here all their lives, they are the ones who are down to earth. It has a few decent shops around here, but it was better in the 80s with the shops. where now it's all hairdressers, nail parlours and fast food shops. Shame really. It's not a bad place to live. The best chippy in Darlaston is Beks Fish bar, which is located on Wolverhampton street. They make the best battered chips ever.
