We recommend calling ahead to book a table as they always fill quickly. We did, as we were a group of seven, on a Sunday and they were packed by 6pm. You have to ask for the vegetarian menu, so do not be put off when you do not see one in the photos here. Thankfully not a single IPA in sight. Nice touches - table linen, bread baskets (nut bread and wholemeal), fresh flowers on tables. Adorables - on a nice day take a window table as the sash windows might be open, and since this street is pedestrianised, it's really pleasant; seems like they wisely gave up on decorating as it is so much easier to go with the characterful scrubbed wooden floor and venerably aged tall walls that perhaps last saw paint in '47. It works well. Will definitely return. Good food and service. Vegetarian options: You ask for the vegetarian menu

Can’t fault anything. Food was absolutely delicious - flavourful and hearty. Dumplings were delish. Staff attentive. Narrow with high ceilings makes the place feel cosy but regal.

Historic Polish restaurant opened in 1947. It is great place for polish dishes with amazing selection of vodka served in ice cold shot glasses. It is one of the oldest place where Soviet spies used to meet up during the Cold war days. I am no expert of Polish food. Zurak and dumplings are highly recommended. I tried different fillings, but they can be spicy with distinctive flavour. I liked it but the taste were bit too strong for little kids who are not used to Polish tradition. They also have seasonal menu which are interesting. Felt like a nice French bistro style place with interesting twists. The staffs are very friendly and the place is fairly spacious. You can bring kids. I'd definitely go back when visiting museums or concerts nearby. I think zurek on a cold winter day with shot of flavoured vodka will be great.

(Translated by Google) Generally a restaurant with a Polish menu and Polish service. There is no problem to communicate in English. We ordered 3x3 dumplings (3. Dumplings are a portion) plus orange juice and two glasses of wine. Price for all £45. It's nice, clean, and if you're wearing dumplings, I don't recommend them - they're edible - but they're far from Russian. They seem to be frozen (like from a Polish ladybug from a package) and not made by someone. I don't know about the rest of the dishes because we didn't try it. (Original) Generalnie restauracja z Polskim menu i Polska obsługa. Po angielsku nie ma problemu się dogadać. Zamówiliśmy 3x3pierogi ruskie ( 3. Pierogi to porcja) plus sok pomarańczowy i dwie lampki wina.
