Awful company, avoid. I would leave a zero star review if it were possible but unfortunately one star is the lowest option. Following a house fire, L Daniels were contracted to make the property safe before insurers etc could have access. Rather than just making the property safe, L Daniels (or their sub contractors) took it upon themselves to clear the contents of the top floor of the house and take them to landfill. They also filled two bin bags with items they deemed personal and handed them to a neighbour for safe keeping. They did not have permission to remove ANYTHING from the house and certainly did not have permission to give anything to a random neighbour! The workmen who carried out the work have lied and claimed we gave them permission to hand items to a relative who lives down the road - there are no relatives on the road for a start…! We have photos of the inside of the property after the fire and some of the items they took look absolutely fine. There are also lots of items that have gone missing that would almost certainly not have been damaged - jewellery etc which was in a room not affected by the fire (although affected by water damage). We asked for a list to be compiled of items taken to landfill and it is completely inaccurate - there is virtually nothing on there. It’s clearly a list they have tried to compile by memory after the event rather than a list compiled at the time. When we called to make a complaint I was accused of bullying/harassment and was shouted at by Fiona (not sure of job title) who if anything was bullying me by screeching down the phone at me. All I wanted was to speak to someone senior at the company who could tell me what was going on. Looking at other reviews on here I can see this is clearly a tactic the company use to deal with complains - labelling the complainant a bully. She promised a director would call me back and I followed up with a complaint via email. Almost two months later, I have had no call back and no response to my email either. The only feedback we have had has been via the landlord and even then it doesn’t answer any of our questions. Really shocking customer service from start to finish. Complete cowboys.

Reported repairs, they didn't turn up, phoned up to complain and asked for a manager, secretary was rude and refused to get a manager as she said I was abusive all I asked was that I speak to a manager, we have had shoddy work carried out by them before.

As a construction company, they do build and repair things but not with skilled trades men. Quality of work is very questionable. Furthermore, they do not keep there word, you must confirm it by email. L Daniel's will still turn up before or after rarely on time. Beware people BEWARE!!!!!
