Highly delighted with my table from Daniel Polished Concrete. Great experience dealing with both Nigel and Daniel who were both very patient and happily answered all my questions. I was even given a tour of the workshop when I went to the showroom in Stockport as I wanted to physically see/feel the product. The table is high end - I’ve seen other concrete tables made by other manufacturers and they were not of the same quality. The finish is much more refined while retaining the industrial look I was after. It was a lovely touch to receive photos of the table when it was ready in their showroom ahead of delivery. If you’re after a beautiful bespoke table, I can highly recommend Daniel Polished Concrete.

Daniel, Nigel, and the rest of the team were really friendly throughout the whole production and delivery process. It was great to receive a phone call from Daniel after the table was delivered to ensure we were happy with everything. The table is great and we’d definitely recommend the personal service they provided.

We are absolutely over the moon with our new table. The service from the team was excellent and there is something quite special about the speaking to the people that hand build the final product. The team are clearly really passionate about what they do! We live in Scotland and the delivery service was seamless. Pictures can’t quite do justice to how solid a piece of furniture this is - couldn’t recommend more highly. (Table is 2.2mx1.1m in polished charcoal with black inset square leg)

We had our table delivered on 30/07/22 it was delivered faulty. Daniel kindly agreed to send us a replacement. We contacted them for weeks asking for an update and we were always told the table was in production. January 2023 we decided they had enough time to send the replacement so we requested a refund. Daniel said it didn't work like that so I had to educate him on distance selling regulations. He called me back later that afternoon and asked I could bare with him for two weeks as the company had financial troubles. We agreed but then had to contact him again as he didn't bother to contact us. He finally arranged for a courier to collect the table and send the refund. The refund he sent was £100 short and he said I had to read the T&C on his website. I explained his T&C were actually illegal and as far as a distance selling sale, and I was entitled to a full refund including collection as the goods were faulty at purchase. Daniel replied with "Im happy to collect and refund £2,750. That's my final offer" Daniel delivered us a faulty item and we were more than patient with him to rectify the problem. The purchase of the faulty table ended up costing us £100. UPDATE * Hi Daniel thank you for your reply. Daniel, I don’t understand how this review is incredibly bad from me, your terms and conditions are not legal in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we purchased the table online and only visited your showroom two months after purchase as we had no trust in your your company, so we had to drive from Newcastle to Manchester to visit your showroom (small office with a table in the middle of the room) the man who spoke with us told us you had lots of staff problems, I later found out he also walked out on you! Trust me Daniel look into the law. We agreed to the replacement top on the day you delivered the faulty one 30/07/22, which is why you agreed to make another one. After many emails over a period of 4 months you finally said the replacement table was ready, however you weren’t prepared to deliver this until you had a van in the area. As far as accommodating goes, with the original delivery my son and I had to help lift the concrete table into position as the two drivers who delivered it were not able to lift it on their own. They even commented to you over the phone how bad the finish was on the table and the damage, the table was cloudy, had scratches and runs for £2,850. I have added the photos that we emailed to you of the table. Regarding your comment on me using tactics, seriously? Do you think I would really buy a 10 seater concrete table to use and return. This comment has nothing to do with the review, I would think you are one of those people who always like to have the last say in an argument. I think so that we can have closure on this, I feel you need the £100 more than I do, so I would like you to keep it. A reply to a 1 star review should read.... Dear Mr Sibley, I would firstly like to sincerely apologise for the service we have provided you, not only did we provide you with a poor quality product, we expected you to wait six months for a replacement is completely unacceptable and embarrassing on our behalf. We pride ourselves in good customer service and aftersales but on this occasion, we have let you down. I have already taken internal steps with my team to ensure this never happens again and I have instructed our solicitors to check the wording of our website terms and conditions to ensure they are compliant. On reflection and because of the way you have been treated as a customer I have authorised a payment of £100 to be transferred into your account. If you would ever consider using Daniel Polished Concrete in the future, please contact me directly and I will personally oversee the manufacturing and delivery of any order you place with us.
