Ordered slate and a tonne bag of top soil (border mix). Finally got round to using the topsoil today and I have to say it’s the “cleanest” topsoil I’ve ever used. I took three stones and two small pieces of glass from the whole tonne bag. This is a massive improvement over companies I’ve used before. Was so impressed I’ve just ordered another two bags!! I’ll be a continued repeat customer so good work Dandy’s!!

I chose Dandy’s because I wanted a quality turf sand mix and based on a quick look at reviews, it seemed a safe choice. First of all delivery was messed up, but that was resolved and staff were apologetic, but it caused a lot of inconvenience to us after we booked a named day slot and I even called to confirm this two days prior. However, when the turf mix did arrive, it was very disappointing. Described as finely screened- it actually had lots of stones anywhere from 40mm to 100mm, along with random rubbish. I feel a fool for purchasing a jumbo bag of very expensive sand, but moreover I could’ve got cheaper and cleaner sand from a builders merchant. Emailed regarding the issue but they can’t even find the time to reply. Not what I expected from this company. **update Dandy’s have now responded with a full explanation and apology. They have shown a commitment to customer satisfaction and this goes someway to restoring my faith in them as a company

Was told I would get a notification for delivery - instead a very rude driver turned up with no warning caused issues with our neighbours blocking the road. The topsoil mix is meant to be screened 70/30 but its 90% sand with 5% stones and the rest and soil. It states it is screened but I had over 50 stones of approximately 2 inches diameter. Thats just the ones i have found. Overall I would not recommend at all and very disappointed i have left a review on their site too but doubt it will get posted
