I can only comment on the pies: we had a steak & cheese (sounds strange, but it was really delicious) with beautiful short pastry and lovely thick chunks of meat in it with a lovely flavour. Proper Northern pies, as they ought to be. The broccoli and stilton quiche likewise had excellent pastry and a great flavour and texture. Highly recommended.

Visiting Mark and his team is a highlight of my week. The meat is absolutely superb quality, whether for a special occasion or a family meal there are options for all budgets. I have never had a better steak than from Dales. All the meat is locally sourced and outstanding quality. The pies and pasties are incredible, dreamy meaty goodness encased in crisp buttery pastry. The service is always friendly, they are knowledgable and helpful with suggestions for potential recipes. There is a reason they were crowned best butchers in the country - they are!

Stunning and flavourful meat, pies, sausages and sausage rolls! The butchers are great at giving advice on how best to cook the meat as well. I always use these guys. I love them so much that I asked them for loads of stuff for my little boys christening and everything was devoured!! 10/10. The best in Britain!!
