Please think carefully before purchasing a Daikin product in the UK. As a construction professional, I simply can't recommend their products currently. Despite their excellent reputation in Japan, their UK customer service is in my experience completely woeful and should be a complete embarrassment to both the global Daikin brand and the wider renewables industry. We had a faulty product, a brand-new heat pump that doesn't defrost (suggesting a factory QC issues). After a lengthy wait on the phone, we raised a "high-priority" call informing Daikin that our clients were without heat and had vulnerable persons in the property. Despite chasing them it took an incredible 10 days before an engineer addended. The "Daikin Engineer" we were promised was in fact a sub-contracted local plumber! The operative, although pleasant and helpful carried no Daikin spares and wasn't provided with replacement parts for the reported fault. They were instructed just to report back to Daikin before a repair could even be ordered, despite the fault being clear-cut. I won't hold my breath on a repair or replacement happening within weeks of the "high-priority" call being raised. I will of course update this review with the final time taken. Clearly, for something as vital as home heating, this is in no way acceptable. I fear these experiences may also put the public off heat pumps in general, which is a great shame. MD Hiroyasu Ishikawa and Deputy MD Mark Dyer clearly have a lot of work to do!

Got a heat pump installed and got cover through their “stand by me” scheme. I went for the platinum scheme which covers non daikin parts after the initial inspection. The problem is I can’t get them to come out to undertake the initial inspection and i bought cover in November. therefore I'm paying for a service which they have not provided as these parts are not covered until this inspection is completed. their policy is not to do services in the winter. therefore they have two conflicting policies that no one will help address. Made three attempts to resolve but no helpful response so far….

Absolutely disgusting company. Me my wife and 3 children. One with a disability have been left with no hot water or heating for nearly a week now. I’ve called them everyday since Ive been without heating and hot water and basically said I’m in a que with no time or date when they will be in contact. It’s below freezing point outside and this is how they treat their customers. MY CHILDREN ARE LEFT COLD AND WITHOUT BATHS. Stay away from this company they should be closed down!!!!

I inherited a Daikin dry air pump and boiler in my property- it is my only heat source. In the past 6 weeks of my moving in the boiler has broken down 3 times. The second time it broke down the customer service team said they would get an Engineer to come out however no one showed up. Today the heating and hot water stopped again and I called them 5 times. All I get told is that our Engineers will call you and I have waited all day with no call. Had I known the after sales support is non existent I would not have purchased this property. I will update this post when I get a resolution stay tuned. Jasmine

I’ve never used their products. But m, I’ve tried to buy air-to-air from them. No product listed to purchase. I phoned and was supplied with a list to chase through for quotes/installers. None could do air to air. I’ve looked into training for fgas so I can just fit it myself…but they don’t sell here. Very odd business with barriers. I phoned Daikin and they said they don’t deal with air to air. Yet it’s listed on the site..?
