I will be the first to admit, I am a Bingo novice, so when my friend suggested visiting Dabbers in Hackney for a night at ‘Social Bingo’, I signed up with a small amount of trepidation. Surely Bingo couldn’t be cool… could it? I am happy to confirm that I was proven wrong, and as soon as you walk through the doors you know from the disco balls to the great disco tunes that this isn’t Gala Bingo. Included with the price you get 4 rounds of Bingo, which doesn’t sound a lot, but when you’re busy dancing to all the great music and enjoying the crude jokes, time flies. There are real cash prizes to be won too, and although our party didn’t quite get there, some lucky people won quite substantial prize pots up to £100. We ordered some drinks throughout the evening and they were pretty well priced considering it’s London and it was a captive audience. Overall, it was great fun, and you couldn’t help but smile, dance and dab your way through an evening at Dabbers Social Bingo!
