I used to visit my relative here and I find staff here are unhelpful and not trustworthy at all. My relative was desperate to leave and too scared to stop her medication even though she didn't need it. She says that she will get into trouble if she doesn't take medication which she doesn't need. She shouldn't be made to feel like this. My family and I had to make complaints about the staff as they couldn't be bothered to arrange contact with my relative and make up stories instead. Very difficult staff and unhelpful.

As a recent ex employee at Cygnet lodge Salford fulfilling not one but two roles here I believe I hold a honest view. I worked at cygnet lodge as a mental health act admin and honorary assistant psychologist I would like to say a very big thank you for the opportunities that you have offered me to progress in my career pathway! The manager will always have your best interest at heart with always thinking of how to push and help you achieve better bigger goals! The teams of different disciplines all come together as one big hospital and there is always someone to help you if in doubt! Patients have good rapports with not only clinical but non clinical staff and are always prioritised and well cared for! The hospital will go above and beyond to meet patient needs as well as staff needs and requirements!!!! I could not thank you all enough for the amount of support and love you have given me and the opportunities that have come my way! Definitely recommend this place !!!!

As a recent ex employee i feel i can give an honest review as i am not affiliated in anyway. Firstly, the service users at Salford Lodge are treated with care, respect and dignity. The support staff are excellent. Any concerns or complaints are treated seriously and investigated appropriately. The team is not defensive and will make changes and learn lessons from things that have gone wrong. The psychology and occupational therapy provisions are fantastic and there is a clear rehabilitation pathway that service users are encouraged to work through, with support, to develop the skills needed for a successful life in the community. The current manager is approachable and friendly and welcoming of any ideas that will help improve the service. My experience as a staff member was positive. I witnessed equality, fairness and positive change in the service within the past 18 months. I have not rated it 5 stars as there is always areas for improvement in any service.

This place should be shut down immediately. Poorly managed place. The staff and doctors are responsible for the mental deterioration of my family member with their poor treatment. Only been out once since August 2022. The sooner this place is shut down the better.
