Staff were both verbally and physically neglectful. People were dragged out of bedrooms with nowhere to go and left to severely self harm. Nurses would just walk away during medical emergencies. This isn't okay.

Best ward I've ever been to. Staff were extremely kind and responsive and handled situations fantasticly. I was only there for 5 weeks but I felt so looked after by the staff team.

I was first admitted to middlemarch ward where I received little support when adjusting to it. As a rehabilitation ward , they offered just one hour a week of talking therapy and the leave given was very minimal. The garden door was locked, as was the quiet room and altogether with very little leave, it felt very closterphobic. It wasn't that the staff don't care there but there just wasn't enough staff, sometimes 3 staff to 16 patients.you could bang your head against the wall for hours there and nobody would come leaving blood against the walls. I was eventually transferred to find more ward which though it was chaotic, there was always staff around so you felt safe and the doctor was brilliant unlike middlemarch ward goes doctors were all locum so changed frequently with different views, leaving me confused
