Absolutely hated my time here. I was here for 3 and a half months and I didn’t get a single bit better. With a few exceptions, most of the staff didn’t interact with you at all, didn’t do anything with you and I spent most of my time sitting around on my own getting worse. You felt like a nuisance if you needed to knock on the office door to ask for something. You didn’t get the attention you needed. As the ward I was on( Picasso) has two floors, it took hours just to get a member of staff to let you from one floor to another. Cygnet hospitals should just be avoided at all costs.

Exhibiting the same company culture as it's US parent company UHS Delaware (a fortune 500 company), prosecuted by the US federal government for fraudulently detaining patients for profit after the FBI investigated them for medicare fraud, Cygnet also has a habit of deliberately prolonging detentions beyond the period of medical necessity. In my tribunal report my junior doctor invented a psychotic relapse for which there was no evidence in my medical notes. My medical notes evidenced stability for a full year before I was discharged. Lucrative NHS public funding contracts provide a perverse incentive to detain patients for as long as possible beyond the period of medical necessity, ARBITRARY DETENTION, human rights abuse with a pretence of due process. Beyond which, cruel and unusual punishment, in normalized use of last resort chemical and physical restraint, was observable. And the way Section 17 leave was used as a tool of behavioral management was disgusting.

Fun, comfortable environment has lots of amenities such as a pool table and a telly. A pleasant garden to ruminate in with lots of board games and a basketball hoop! The staff are all friendly and approachable. It's a win from me, thanks again!

This is great, my daughter after having a mental breakdown, and being sectioned. Is released into a bedsit, with no notice to her nearest relatives, no support in place till after the weekend. Has to self refer anger management and other stuff. 2 days on sending her back to A&E via an ambulance, because she was not ready. No pills, no help, nadda. A blind man could have seen she wasn't ready. I've asked as well as the medical secretary, for the doc in charge to respond to my emails, over the time she was in this hospital. Not one reply! Now a family with two registered disabled for life people are having to pick up the pieces. NOT impressed!

Absolutley dreadful the so called nurse Diane withheld my depo and refused to give it to me for over 1 hour. Also staff here and incapable of caring for people. Very staff oriented and hated it each day it set my mental health backwards. Disgraceful place. I would not let a dog sleep here.
