Absolutely fantastic staff who all work extremely hard to create a safe and supportive environment to aid recovery. My daughter was recently discharged and i can not speak highly enough about the support and compasion shown to her throughout her stay. The staff are like an extended family from the cleaning staff, support staff , nurses right through to the senior doctors and they all work closely with the patients creating a fantasic rehabilitation setting. They are all very proffesional but show so much love and kindness to the patients in their care. I just wish the other hospitals my daughter was located in prior to Aspen clinic were as good . Keep up the good work you dont get enough credit for the work you do.

Absolutely wonderful staff team, very understanding and compassionate. I spent 3 years at Cygnet Aspen clinic and the support I received was unbelievable. Loads of daily activities to keep you occupied from the therapy coordinators. The nursing and support team is another level of support, there was never a time I didn’t feel supported and after some complicated conversations with my home team there was never a time I felt like they didn’t have my back. They don’t get enough credit! Would recommend to anyone needing trauma work/dbt and some help with their recovery. Thank you Aspen Clinic you saved my life.

I would recommend Aspen Clinic to anybody who wants to be in active mental health recovery. I Spent 3 years here and cannot express just how amazing the staff are. My situations became a little complex and the staff and MDT all had my back and helped make the situations as smoothe as possible, for them I cannot thank enough. Through therapies I learnt how to retrain my brain. It truly has saved my life. I started to use the skills to a point now where I don't realise I am actually using them, it comes natural. It's not an easy process having majority of your rights/freedom in somebody else's hands, but they really do have our best interests (even when we cannot see it ourselves) I will forever be greatful to Aspens staff for saving my life.

Amazing not been here long. But compared to my rehab which was abysmal before this one. (I won’t include the name as that is not fair) They’ve welcomed me. Nothing I ask for is a bother, they do it straight away Everything is ligature free in my room. The food is amazing and so is the kitchen staff! Domestic/Maintenance are there straight away when you need them and are very helpful Support workers are AMAZING. They’ve helped me through some tough times. Very compassionate and professional. They’ve Offered me 1:1’s regularly I am ever so thankful They very rarely have agency staff I think consistency is key in these environments. In previous hospitals, I’ve felt like they’ve not been like home. Here I feel like I can relax as I would do in the community in my own home. I also feel ever so safe. Occupational Activities are done regularly and I can request one at any given time. the multidisciplinary team goes above and beyond A psychologist is currently on annual leave The psychiatrist is very compassionate and makes me feel valued and is very helpful to my needs Nurses 90% of the time respond to incidents straight away, are always friendly, and offer 1:1’s and medication is always done at the allocated times. Been a rehab they reinforce us to come to get our medication without prompting. And the management and receptionist are fab!! If I’ve forgotten any sorry!! It is not restrictive here but obviously has blanket rules. I’ve been told by staff and patients that Intramuscular injection aka IM is used in emergencies. I feel like it helps better this way as it keeps my dignity and I can calm down and use PRN - medication when needed orally. The sensory room is locked but on request, I’ve been allowed access. It is very resourceful and has lots of helpful/calming objects in it. The tranquillity room is bare apart from furniture I and other service users use as a calming down space regularly. Staff is always on hand to hear about improvements I could do on the ward. I’ve mentioned a couple and they’ve done it straight away. I’m trying to remember more as I was involved in meetings with other hospitals. I am very happy here and feel as though I am getting the support I need they also involve relatives which my family are very happy about thank you Aspen Clinic!! If I could give more thank 5* I would.

Wouldn’t even give it 1 star none of the staff here have the mental capacity to look after a rock let alone deal with mental health this place needs closing down for the safety of the unfortunate Patients stuck in there care absolutely disgusting these so call careers Not one ounce of care between them taking advantage of the Vulnerable whole place wants investigating including the manager thinking it’s acceptable to lie to patients like they won’t find out

Just being transferred to this unit from cygnet harrogate hospital most of the staff are unprofessional some swear in front of the patients like it's acceptable. They don't provide cooked vegan meals so having to eat vegan mircowave meals. There's hardly anything to do on the ward the staff are happy for you in stay in your rooms. Found a patient's document in the lounge which was accessible for anyone to read. Only have one visitor room and it's the staff meeting room, there's 16 patients here. The staff are bothered mostly with their levels of observations on patients the less you can be on observations is hourly. Some women have being here years well it seems the therapy can't be working for them. Cygnet seems to put profit before people. The information on the place is very misleading it's nothing like that in reality. I didn't want to award it any star. I hate this place it's making me very miserable and l feel so alienated from staff because l don't share their culture. They operate emotional abuse and dismiss it when questioned about it. Just being given my care plan it included two other patients names in it and had abit of their history what a breach of confidential on my plan. They don't provide medications for your physical ailments had to contact my gp in Hull for steriod cream which l was prescribed at the last hospital when admitted here they had my medication notes which would have my prescribed medication on. Kept asking for my medication for 3 weeks in the end l contacted my gp as they just ignored me here. Contacted my gp asking for a prescription of anti depressants which l took before l came into hospital as l haven't being prescribed any here.
