I bought a bike yesterday and worst decision I made to buy here. I, being a female and Asian, was treated very poorly by a guy over there. Initially, it was Mikey who did the job fairly and during his lunch break another person (I didn’t want to mention name) took the rest of the job. He was so rude and unkind as he knew everything in the world! He was just flat in conversation till I paid my bill and literally he was rude thereafter and never keen to let me know anything. I was so excited to buy the bike but it turned out to be dramatic experience with this person. I will never ever recommend anyone to buy anything in this shop- especially if you are coloured and female. You are not welcomed, trust me! Very poor customer service. I called them before I went there and clarified stuff. But what they told me and how they responded was totally different. Mikey told me one and this guy was not in terms to accept that. Jack told me one and this guy said something else. Such a frustrating experience! I am being a specialist doctor, moved very recently to Oxford, needed to go through this insult. I was so patience and he treated me worse than anything! Is it because I am brown? Or female? Think not twice- multiple times before you buy anything here. I’m talking all about Oxford Cycle king. Reply- All those 55 years, it must have been good with other staff and I’m sure he wasn’t there all the time- I was so disappointed with one member of yours and you are well aware! There’s a first for everything so here you start behaving like that for first time. Love to return the purchase- shall contact! Thanks so much for taking time to reply and much appreciated if you educate them with some customer care! Thanks again!

My bicycle light attachment was stolen while I was at work. Came to cycle king and they replaced it free of charge. They also explained what I can do to make it safer to avoid such occurrences. Excellent service

We received a fantastic service this morning with a broken brake on my sister’s bike. The member of staff was helpful, friendly and fixed the brakes at the spot, we have always had this type of service at the store throughout the 5 years we have been coming.
