I was recommended to contact CYB Environmental and I'm so glad I did. I wanted an expert to confirm that the plants in my backyard were not Japanese knotweed. I contacted the company on Thursday 11 May 2023 and they told me they would help me if I could send them an email with pictures of the plants. They got back to me on the same day confirming that the plants were not Japanese knotweed and they said I didn't even need to pay for their help with this. This is a very friendly company.

After finding knotweed in my garden about 5 years ago, Chris has been a regular yearly visitor treating the plant's leaves and observing the effect on the plant over this period. Last year he produced a detailed report on the state of the plant over time and this year he gave me a certificate to say that there had been no plant growth for two years. It has been a pleasure to see Chris on a regular basis, each visit lasting about 25 minutes. My thanks to him and his company for a job well done.

Chris got back to me and confirmed that the plant is not JKW - much to my relief. The company doesn't charge for this identification service, and this has saved me some angst to say the least. Thoroughly recommend CYB. We had a severe knotweed issue in our garden, we got quotes from several companies, none were as knowledgeable as Chris. Chris took time to explain in great detail about not just our issue, but the science of the plant, he also talked us through several options availble to us. He was reassuring, polite and friendly we instantly felt reassured. We had a large growth in one area of the garden with smaller ones scattered around. As our garden is in a state of disrepair left over from the previous owners, we were keen to redesign the whole thing. We had been told by others that we wouldn't be able to do this without excavating the entire plot at the cost of £18k+ Chris came up with a solution to extract the smaller areas, allowing us to redo 80% of the garden whilst treating the large plant behind a shed. This was cost effective and has allowed us to redo the garden to a much better standard than it was in before. Joe and team performed the extraction, they are extremely polite, friendly and have an incredible work ethic, working in 30C heat without breaks. The dig extraction was completed in a few days, quicker than anticipated thanks to their hardwork and done to a very thorough standard. We continue to have our remaining plant treated, Chris and Joe have always provided clear, information and support throughout the process. It has been a pleasure having Chris, Joe and team helping us through this quite daunting experience.
